NEET 2017: CBSE to conduct NEET 2017 exams in 23 more cities – The NEET 2017 examination for admission to MBBS/BDS courses in Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India approved medical/dental colleges, will be held on May 7.This year, the number of applicants appearing for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) has shown enormous growth, where around 11 lakh students are registered for these important competitive test. CBSE, on Friday, came up with an important announcement with making an addition of 23 more new examination cities to that of the previous ones, taking the total number to 103.
Last year in 2016, the number of students appeared for the NEET examination were 8.02 lakhs which have shown an increase of over 41%, with the number of candidates registered for NEET this year is in excess of 11.35 lakhs.

Looking into the record increase in the number of registered candidates this year, the minister of human resources and development, desired to increase 23 more new examination cities in the list of 80 existing examination cities for the NEET 2017 examination.
The Central Board of Secondary Examination, CBSE revealed in a statement that “Accordingly, 23 new cities have been added”
The New list for NEET examination includes four cities each from Karnataka and Maharashtra, three from Gujarat and Tamil Nadu each, two each from Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Kerala and one city each from Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
